Λυπάμε, αλλα λάνθανεσαι- I am sorry but you are wrong Dr. Varoufakis -

http://read.bi/2BcVAwt Dr. Yiannis Varoufakis Interview for Business Insider UK

As a fan of the views and a follower of Dr. Yiannis Varoufakis' interviews I find myself in the regrettable position of having to disagree strongly with his latest expressed views on Brexit. I have provided the address of the article for those that want to judge for themselves.

The basics of the interview were as follows. The EU don't want the UK to be seen to have a better deal outside than when they where members of the EU. I agree, but Yiannis, you make it sound sinister. This is common sense. You go to the doctor and he tells you that you have gangrene in your leg. He must remove it or you die. Do you have it removed, or ignore it, and go home using deodorant to cover the smell of the rotting flesh?

May has shown very poor judgement, with which I agree. From their understanding of the referendum results, her calling new elections ... all the way to her response to the use of the nerve agent in Salisbury: May has shown the poor judgement of a man setting up a business to sell ice to the Eskimos.

The main rhetoric of the Brexiteers was two-fold. There are the ardent anti-Europeans who frankly want nothing more than to rid themselves of all European control and to put back undercover their secretive foreign policy. The Jacob Rees-Moggs of Brexit.

Then there are the others, the xenophobes (Nigel Farage) who fundamentally object to any non-English languages being spoken In England. Together they have succeeded in blaming every mistaken action made by the government over the last 10 years on poor old Europe. They are taking advantage of the misery of the people subjected to austerity, on the EU and past Labour policies. The EU has many problems, and made many mistakes, but that isn't one of them. The Brexiteers have managed to create a widespread (but not universal) hysteria that all the woes of Britain can be laid at the EU's door.

But the way things are now, No way in hell will May be able to sell a 5-year Norwegian style deal to the British. We are talking 90% rejection. I stick by my own suggestion in the second part of this article. Basically, as things stand there can be no satisfactory solution that somebody can sell to the British. The decision must be made by the people themselves. A vote (not referendum because that is binary). When you have the basics of the deal, put the following question to the electorate:

  1. Accept whatever deal she manages to negotiate and leave EU in an orderly manner

  2. Reject the deal, and just leave taking all the consequences including a possible border in Ireland, a pissed off Gibraltar and a second referendum in Scotland

  3. Go back to the EU, and say ... know what, I changed my mind. I'm not leaving so I want my seat back.

The man in the photo is Lord Kerr. He wrote the Article 50, never once thinking it was his own team that would invoke it.

Lord Kerr, a former UK ambassador to the E.U, said Brexiters in May’s cabinet were suggesting Brexit was irreversible and thereby misleading the public.

This former diplomat says the UK could opt to reverse Brexit up to the moment it leaves, even if a date for the country’s departure from European Union were added to the withdrawal bill, as Theresa May plans.

SIGN THE PETITION DEMANDING THE FINAL VOTE BE RETURNED TO THE PEOPLE.

This is the only way to truly know what the people want and to unite the country again. Everybody, knowing the consequences, then takes an informed decision.

These are the options, this is the price! - DECIDE -.

Ask yourselves, do you really trust a politician, many of whom take donations from the Russians , to take what is almost certainly the most important decision of your and YOUR CHILDREN'S lives for you?

Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell your fellow students. This offer is only on until March 29th, 2019. (Actually, if a transition period is negotiated it could be longer but I wouldn't risk it). Before Mar 29th 2019, even the EU can't stop a reversal. After that who knows). Vote the way you think and then its in the lap of the gods!
